Woke up really early, we were out by 7 am with only 4 hours left to our flight to Jammu. We had 3 more sites to cover with only 2 hours before we head to the airport. We checked out and our luggage is in the car. it is a very long journey to Dharmashala since we were planning to take a bus from jammu to there which is around 7 hours. I wished there were direct flights.
What left in Srinagar are more of Mughal Gardens and a Tulip Garden which seasonal one. They are Cheshmashahi Garden and Pari Mahal which is palace and garden. Pari Mahal is occupied by the military but they let us in. Pari Mahal has a stunning and a wonderful over view on Dal Lake and Srinagar city. The Tulip Garden was amazing too but unfortunately a lot of tulips were damaged because of the heavy snow storm. I think there were nothing left to see, i loved srinagar even with its tensed peace. I loved the people and their pure beauty. I loved the virgin nature. I wish them peace and i wish that i will go there sometime soon.
At the airport on time. 2 hours before departure although it is a domestic flight. They advise to be there 2 hours before the flight for security issues. It was crowded and i remember that i was so hungry and i had to wait until we reach Jammu.
Yes we are in Jammu again, looking for a taxi to take us to the bus station. One of the Sceneries which stayed in my mind actually two not one, one is a guy holding a long stick cleaning people ears in the bus station !! the other is a guy with a mirror on his back and a chair, any clue ? Ok! we had two options a public bus which will departs in an hour (3 pm) and a private one which will depart at 8 pm and not confirmed yet, which one would you chose? i choose the public and i did not know what public means. I had some hesitation from my indian friend who told me that he had never travelled with a public bus.
No time wasting, we have to buy the ticket to find a place to sit or else we will be standing or on the top of the bus !!! yes PUBLIC. Thank God we got tickets and got seated. The window was the AC, i could not put my arm on the window because i have been told that some people get sick and throw up so i better not to put my arm there or even touch it. It took us 8 hours to reach Dharmashala (11 pm). We went down in a dark street, waited for around 15 minute to get a taxi which am not sure if he was really a taxi.
I loved every part of this trip, specially the fact that i was 23 years old back then.
New State New City. stay tuned.
