It is only few days to the end of the trip. We are now in Dharmashala where we stayed for 2 nights. First night we reached the hotel around 12 pm. We spent a full day around Dharmashala which was just enough, and decided to leave to our next destination, Manali, next morning so we can enjoy the beautiful sceneries.
An old woman offered us to share the taxi with her to Manali. We enjoyed her company actually. After telling her about our grand trip, she gave us some touristic info and recommendations about our next couple of destinations. We drove through fields, valleys, in 200 years old british tunnel, over dams and beside rivers. What more can i say !
We reached Manali mid day and found a proper hotel just in the centre. First impression was not bad since there were lots of young european tourists which made me think it is spoiled. But no, that was a false alarm. Manali was a sporty touristic destination. Name it ! Trekking, rafting, camping, Paragliding, skiing, mountaineering and more. The first time i knew about paragliding was in Manali but unfortunately i did not have the courge to do it. but i did it in Tenerife – Canary islands Later the same year. I think sceneries in Manali would be much more beautiful.
We spend our time walking around Manali which was relatively small city. Most of the attractions was within a walkable distance. We visited a couple of old temples and we had a short trek in a national park. Also we walked around locals houses. It was more relaxing and do what you want DAY. You can feel the touristic vibe in Manali, specially that i found BASKIN ROBINS. No need to talk about BS31, Me and what happened.
A lovely and cozy restaurant what we needed at the end of the day. I remember that i had fish that night. As always we slept early getting ready for our last destination before Dehli-Kuwait which was Shimla.
