Kerala, the gentle relaxed part of India. Located in the southwest, along 550 km of Arabian sea coast line. Kerala offers a unique relaxing experience which you won’t find somewhere alse. A houseboat cruising in the backwater of kerala where you hear nothing but birds singing and some locals doing their daily jobs. Chilling in the upper deck of the houseboat, enjoying the rice fields view and watching locals living on both sides of rivers and canals. Another relaxing experience is the Ayurvedic treatment and massage. Kerala is the origin of the Ayurvedic treatment.
Along 550 km of coast line there must be some amazing beaches. Actually Kerala has one of the top beaches in India which is Kovalam beach, also Varkala which has less tourist traffic. If you like animals and nature you have to take a boat trip in Periyar wildlife sanctuary lake or a night safari in Waynad wildlife sanctuary. Munnar is just another paradise where the tea gardens are and the smell of the spices plantation. What makes munnar special is the outstanding shapes of the very green tea plantations and the cool climate.
Kerala is very rich in culture and has alot of artistic dances and festivals along the year. Kathakali , Performance based on hindu epics the Ramayana, Theyyam, folk dances performed in conjuction with harvest celebrations, and Kalarippayat, an ancient tradition of martial training and discipline, these 3 shows is a must see although Kathakali is a bit noisy but interesting and there are alot more but these are the most famous onse.
